Fairgrounds and drones at night. Thailand.
Flying a drone at a local fairground was never my intention- candyfloss and 1 or 2 rides were! The evening lasted a little longer than expected and while I was waiting for friends to arrive i had a short flight.
On the south side of Bangkok, a fair arrived. A big wheel, mini roller coaster, a pirate ship and some 'spinning' roundabout rides attracted crowds from all around. Dart and BB gun games were also just as popular.
Getting there early meant we were ahead of the big crowds.
The pinky/orangy tiles on the ground were giant rugs to cover up the muddy parking lot. From above it looks quite interesting like some kind of mosaic.
Colour enhancement was edited in Lightroom with only basic changes- mainly colour boosts and intensifying the lights and darks. Sharpening is essential for low light images shot at night due to 'noise' and fuzzy edges.

As much as I was tempted to ride the Big Wheel, after seeing the rusty 'seatbelt-less' bucket seats and squeaking bearings I decided to watch instead! I'm sure it would have been fine though lol.

They regularly hold a huge fair near me up at Rangsit in the grounds of Air Force Central's football ground. I love going cos it reminds me of being a kid again in the UK. The rides and side stalls are simple unsophisticated pleasures.....but just like the UK, the gun sights are always bent slightly !
As you briefly mentioned in your description of the big wheel, we wont sully these happy pics and memories with health and safety questions. Perhaps I Love living here so much is in no small part to the fact that Thailand truly is tha land that H&S forgot !

No way- small world, I'm up in Rangsit too. I was thinking about the same fair but since it's Gov land and so close to the airport and landing flight path I gave it a miss. Thanks for checking out my post.
