Malacca, Malaysia

This town is famous for being a portuguese settlement, but there is nothing much portuguese left there really. You can get around by bus, bicycle and even scooter are more expensive options. The taxis are scammers. My favorite attractions are the old military area, the old dutch graveyard. There's also a market, and a portuguese area that is not really portuguese. You can get a good hotel if you go a few blocks from the tourist area. Malaysia is a pretty cool place that is worth at least a visit and malacca is a cool little town to check out.
