Amazing Collections at Lane Motor Museum

in #travel5 years ago (edited)

Morning All :)

Continuing our travel story to Nashville, Tennessee, USA, today I am sharing you our visit to Lane Motor Museum that has tremendous collections of all sorts of vehicles!

This museum is humangous, seriously. Which makes sense because cars are not always small sizes, you know. But also, inside the museum there are planes and trucks too, so you can imagine, right? Big museum indeed Lane Motor Museum is.

This is a museum that you can say caters to everyone in all ages, even when they don't drive a motor vehicle. If you like boating, it has a boat or two, if you are into cycling instead, tons of bicycles in the museum, same as motorbikes, Winter vehicle? You can find it in the museum, expensive cars? For sure. Not into any of those but crazy on engines? Voila, they have them displayed. Into war vehicles? You betcha! Even play area for your littles to enjoy while you stroll around the museum, they got it. So it really is a nice museum that you can visit yourself or in a group of all ages, in my opinion.

From the outside, the museum almost looks like as if it was an automotive shop or a garage if you may, instead a museum, especially since many of the war and some super old cars are stationed outside, a separate area, similar to a huge garage. The fancy and clean looking ones are inside, an adjacent building next to it.

When you enter the lobby area, you would be greeted with a tiny red car (I cannot remember what model it was, sorry) and some framed histories on the wall. The floor is neat as well as it has race car tracks. To your left just before entering the museum area, there is a gift shop filled with toy cars and whatnot.

As soon as you entered the museum, on your right side, check out the wall where they have visitor maps. They have about 4 if not 5 maps covered with red pins, of where the visitors came from. That is one great idea for sure, instead just a visitor log book, two thumbs up for that.

Can you spot where you are from and see if someone already pinned it? Maybe too small pictures though :P

Hint, hint for you @brittandjosie, for your Steemit World Flags project ;-)

To be honest, am not familiar with cars, and since this is a museum, so many cars displayed are antique cars, so if you ask me what car is this, or what car is that, I do not have the slightest idea :P Sorry.

But for sure, since they are antique (well some are not ancient, like 1980s or 90s), the styles, the shapes, the sizes, some are just bizarre hahaha

We did take a lot of pictures inside the museum, but for sure I cannot upload them all, however, here are some for you to see :)

And some that are just normal but old style of cars :)

They also have areas for race cars and snow mobile. I like the snow mobile one, it looks interesting. At the museum they have this video screen where you can check out more on the snow mobile.

The motorbikes are mostly Harley Davidson's but they do have a couple that are not. The motorbikes area is separated from the bicycles and mopeds.

Should you plan to go to Nashville, do not forget to check out this museum! Totally recommending it. We all enjoyed this museum very much, especially the kids as the play area was heaps fun to them :)

Check the video as it shows more of what available at the museum. I am embedding it from my Dtube, woo-hoo! Have you heard? We can embed our Dtube vids now, yay!

Thanks for looking this rather long blog :P See you later!
