Part 1.
Sultan Iskandar Muda, who ruled from 1607-1636, was the greatest sultans and grandest during the sovereign Sultanate of Aceh (1496-1903). His name is engraved into Europe, beyond his time.

In the region of Asia and the Middle East, the period of Sultan Iskandar Muda was known as the ruler of the Malacca Strait and the surrounding sea.

He continued his father and grandfather's aggressor in defending the existence of the Islamic Sultanate in Malay-Nusantara from the hands of European colonizers.

At that time, the Portuguese was one of the great enemies of the Kingdom of Aceh.

Since 5 April 1607, Iskandar Muda officially took office as Sultan replacing his brother Sultan Ali who died the day before.

His involvement in the Sultanate of Aceh was not the first time.

In 1606 he was directly involved in the Portuguese attacking war in the Malacca Straits, hence he was renowned Perkasa Alam by his famous ship.

His experience in the Aceh sea and the Malay peninsula has been an important lesson in warding off various foreign attacks, which occurred during his reign as Sultan of the Kingdom of Aceh.

Mainly the deployment of marine military forces, warships, war strategies, and international relations networks.

The ship is the only one of the most sophisticated war media equipment equipped with a variety of cannons, because at that time there was no tank or fighter. PART 2.
Hikayat Malem Dagang

Hikayat Malem Dagang, some of the same opinion as Hikayat Meukuta Alam, is a saga containing travel records of Sultan Iskandar Muda, reclaiming Malacca from the Portuguese.

The Malay Trade Saga was written by Tgk Chik Pante Geulima, to raise the spirit of the Acehnese in the war against the Dutch.

In this saga, Tgk Chik Pante Geulima writes about several warships owned by the Kingdom of Aceh under the leadership of Sultan Iskandar Muda.

As with other Aceh saga traditions, that saga is one of the oral tradition or speech tradition that is alive and strong in society. The "penghikayat" are quite reliable and able to memorize the plot will perform well in tale, both storyline, rhythm, until intonation in the saga.

These ships are used for shipping, trading, war, diplomacy, and investment purposes.

Of the few ships owned by the Kingdom of Aceh, the most frequently used by Sultan Iskandar Muda is a ship named Cakra Donya.

This Donya Cakra ship has a special record in the memory of the Portuguese naval soldiers.

Espando del Munto
The Spanish historian Manuel Faria Y Sousa (1590 - 1649) in his book "Asia Portuguesa" published in Lisbon (1666-1675) writes, every time he saw this ship, Portuguese naval soldiers shouted "Espanto del Mundo" (world terror) . Manuel Faria Y Sousa also describes the magnificence of war ships belonging to the Kingdom of Aceh.

According to him, this ship has a length of up to 200 span (approximately 100 meters), has three poles, and equipped with 100 cannons on the right and left.

Faria Y Sousa also describes his amazement, "not waste-the ship was given the name 'world terror'. How great, how powerful, how beautiful, how rich. Though the eyes are tired because they are often amazed to see beautiful objects, we all stared at this one (The Donya-pen Chakra). "Part 3.
Manuel Faria Y Sousa's record of the Donya Chakra was rewritten by the French historian Denys Lombard in a book entitled "The Kingdom of Aceh" published by the 1986 Popular Gramedia Library.

Returning to Hikayat Malem Dagang, this Donya Cakra ship carries three great gift bells from the Ming Dynasty (around 1469) to Pasai Kingdom in the fourth year of Cheng Hua era.

One of these three bells, now on display at the Museum Complex of Aceh, in Banda Aceh.

Indeed, Pasai's relationship with some kingdoms outside the "underworld" is quite good, including Europe, Turkey, and Arabia.
