Every year mid february, the city of Teruel in Spain (known as the Verona of Spain) hosts a medieval festival.

The festival tells the story of the Amantes de Teruel, our 800 year old legend said to be one of the origin stories that inspired Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet.

If you love culture, history, literature, amazing food and just plain fun this is one event that should be on your bucket list!
