King's Chedi, at Doi Inthanon, Thailand's Tallest Mountain
Doi Inthanon is Thailand's tallest mountain at about 7700 feet. Near the top, there are two remarkable chedis. Chedis are places where historical artifacts relating to Buddhism are kept and some contain the remains of royalty or monks.
Both chedis are surrounded by huge gardens that are constantly in bloom. Doi Inthanon also has 7 waterfalls including the largest in Thailand, Mae Ya, a 750 foot tall and 1200 feet wide but they are all impressive. If you want to take pictures at Mae Ya,
you'll need a very wide lens to get the entire waterfall into your frame. The Queen's chedi is on a hilltop across from the King's chedi.
It's very beautiful. Thank you.
Thanks for noticing. Regardz!
