Our journey to Srilanka has started! Day#1 & Day#2

Finally! Our day has come. Time to start our long - awaited trip to Srilanka. It was yesterday evening actually (16.02.2018). But let me first explain few things. Everything did not go according to the plan, namely our first flight was delayed for two hours (Ljubljana – Istanbul). Do not ask way, since we really don’t know what was going on. Because of that we were afraid to miss our connecting flight from Istanbul to Colombo, but luckily they waited for! We were so happy!:) It's actually an advantage, if you travel with the same airline, like us in this case (Turkish Airlines), as they ordered another plane to wait.

Due to a delay we also got a free snack by TK:)

Even in Maldives we had a technical stop for about 1 hour.

After we landed at the airport in Colombo (Srilanka) the local bus arranged by our agency took as to a 4 hour long drive to the Anuradhapura city (Srilanka nord) where we are accomodated now (Hotel Miridya Lake resort) and will spend next two nights !
