Travel with Tara : Multnomah falls, Latourell falls, Oregon, USA

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Multnomah Falls is located east of Troutdale, Oregon, along the historic Columbia River Highway. It is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon. Rainwater, an underground spring and snow melt feed the falls through all four seasons and ensure a spectacular sight any day of the year. This place is absolutely incredible! The trail is relatively easy. The falls consists of 2 drops with the lower falls an easy walk. The upper falls has a bridge that you can hike to on a trail.

Behold, The Multonamh Falls!

This waterfall has been on my bucket list for a while. I'm glad we made the stop. Here's another picture.

It's crowded almost all the time and it was slightly difficult for us to find a spot to mount the tripod to take a picture.

After enjoying this view, we made our way to Latourell Falls. Latourell is unique among the best-known Columbia Gorge waterfalls, in the way that it drops straight down from an overhanging basalt cliff. There is a short walk from the parking lot to the falls.

Like the Wakheena falls, you can get up real close to the falls.

It's always fun when you can get up close to a waterfall. I had a great time visiting this place! Here's a picture we took on our way back to the hotel in Portland.
