Travel with Tara : Mt. Rainier, Washington

in #travel8 years ago

My trip to Washington was a short one. After exploring the various waterfalls of Oregon, we decided to visit Washington and check out Mt. Rainier National Park. On the way to the park, we witnessed so many scenic views. The roads were so clean and beautiful. There were traces of snow here and there. Drove across couple of waterfalls as well.

Here's a picture of one of the waterfalls we came across.

The Christine waterfall is easily accessible and it's definitely a scenic one! Look at that setting! The waterfall flowing underneath a stone bridge.

A few miles later we came across another waterfall called the Narada Falls. TWe had to walk a little along the trail to reach the falls. Although, the walk was pretty peaceful and I got to see various species of colorful, majestic birds. It was pretty insane! And finally we reached the pristine Narada falls.

Here's a picture!

We can actually park the car at the parking lot and easily spot the falls. But a closer look is always better, and that's when we got to walk a little.

We then made our way to The Mt. Rainier itself. Unfortunately, it was super cloudy that day and it seemed as though the mountain was volcanic and it had erupted! But no, it was just the plain old clouds and we couldn't take clear shots of the mountain.

A picture!

Look at all that snow. I really wish we could view the whole mountain at that time.

If you observe the photo clearly, you can see a bit of the glaciers. Ain't that marvellous?!

Here's another picture, a brighter one!

We stopped near a lake as well to capture a reflection picture. Guess what happened? That's right, the clouds!

Just another photo.
