Water Festival or Songkran Festival in Thailand

In hot days like these, it would be great to be cool with water, right? Our Water Festival or Songkran Festival is going to start tomorrow! We are all excited about that. It is our significant festival which is held from 13 – 15 April each year.
Actually, this is our old tradition and considered as our New Year in the old days. We make merit to monks at the temples in the morning. And then we watered our parents or other adults to show our respect to them. (we usually add jasmine to the water to help it fragrant and we can feel refreshed with this!)
After that, most of us start splashing water to each other on the street and we get wet for the entire days. Not only Thai people, most foreigners here join us and have a lot of fun together during these days.
I think this is good idea to release us from the hot weather.
Come to Thailand next year, my friends! And you will experience it by yourself!
