Tham Namlot Khao Deang, one of the amazing caves in Phatthalung province, in the South of Thailand
Phatthalung has abundant nature which is fascinating, as I told you before. There are many beautiful caves, especially “Tham Namlot Khao Deang” which is an amazing and magical cave.
Tham means cave
Namlot means water pass through
Khao means mountain
Deang is the name of the mountain
There is clear water flowing out of some spots along the cave walls. That’s why it’s called “Namlot”.
Due to the flowing of water, you will feel refreshed while walking in the cave.
Tham Namlot Khao Deang is a large limestone cave that is full of awesome and spectacular stalagmites and stalactites. These were caused by erosion of groundwater and rainwater. They were amazingly and miraculously created by nature.
In front of the cave, there is a Buddha image in the Naga pose for worship before entering the cave.
The inside of the cave is separated into many small caves.
Before it became a tourist attraction of Phatthalung, local people used to enter the cave to look for bat droppings to make fertilizer for farming in the past.
From the entrance of the cave, when walking in, you will find a wide open hall with a cave ceiling and lights shining all the way.
It’s good that there is no bad smell because there is cool wind blowing in and out of the cave all the time.
When walking deeper into the cave, you will find the beauty of various sacred things and the wonder of the stalagmites and stalactites hidden inside the cave.
Tham Namlot Khao Deang is a famous tourist attraction that is especially great for people who like to travel in nature.
If you have a chance to visit Phatthalung, don't miss to stop by and see this amazing cave, Tham Namlot Khao Deang.
