Na Satta, a valuable museum in Rachaburi province,Thailand
Na Satta is situated in Rachaburi province, Thailand. (not far away from Bangkok) It’s a valuable museum where you can learn about Thai culture and our beliefs.
The founder’s concept for this place is: “Knowledge is not just in books or classrooms. Peaceful is not just in temples”.
Therefore, they create various things for you to learn and you, of course, can gain a lot of knowledge from there.
Since it’s in very large area, they divided into 8 zones.
Each zone is very interesting by their own topics.
For today, I will show you parts of them through my sister’s photos.
In my opinion, the most interesting part is the wax sculptures of important Thai people from history; i.e. our beloved mother of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, former prime ministers or other famous people at their works, etc.
These were presented in the building which is called “Na Satta Memorial hall”.
Before entering, you will see beautiful architecture that, I think, can attract your eyes.
In addition, Na Satta also displays beautiful ancient Thai dress and accessories.
This below photo is only one example among them.
Not only in the building, there are also other parts that are exhibited in the open air where you can feel relaxed among green trees and nice nature while walking around; i.e.
“Memorial Park of the Great Kings”
“Thai ancient houses”
Even at the shops nearby the place, there are interesting arts at the walls….
Another concept of the founder is to create this place as a relaxing place; you can release your stress while visiting and bring happiness back home.
I think, this is another interesting museum that is worth for visit indeed.
These are only small parts of the place, there are many more interesting things that are waiting for you to explore by yourself….
A very interesting museum. I really like the quotes, particularly about peacefulness all the time. It would be very fun to see both the inside and lovely outside areas. Do you know what the big, old machine is near the end? Under the house. Looks like a grain sorter or some such thing. Just curious. Hope your Sunday is going well. Cheers
Many thanks for your nice comment! I’m really happy that you like the quotes (me, too), and that you found the museum interesting, especially the old machine. Um! I was not born in time, so I’m not sure whether it’s used for. It would probably be something as you think. Good guess! ;)
Guessing is fun, even if it's 'out to lunch', as we say. Hope your night is going well.
Yeah! I absolutely agree with you, "Guessing" is fun and people, like you, who love to guess are normally clever. ;)
Have a wonderful night, GFF! ;))
@tangmo,

Thank you for sharing these nice pictures, @tangmo. Is this considered a private museum or a public one? Very impressive if a private owner could create such a big exhibit.
This is a private museum. It's used to be only wax museum in a building. The owner created other things to be more attractive as you can see now. Yeah! Very impressive! I also admire the owner on this!
Thanks a lot for your nice comment. I'm glad you like the pictures and found the museum interesting. ;)
The wax sculptures are amazing! And it was interesting to see the old Thai dress. And you must know that my favorite painting is of the boy holding the cat. : ) I also love the founders concept:
Yeah! I know you well....., You are my sis, cat lover! I like that painting, too!
I'm very glad that you found the wax sculptures and the old Thai dress interesting. I also admire their concept.
Many thanks for your nice comment, my dear sis! ;)
