Beautiful Wat Pak Nam Khaem Nu or Blue Temple, Chanthaburi province, in the East of Thailand
Wat Pak Nam Khaem Nu is a beautiful temple in Chanthaburi province, in the East of Thailand. You may call this temple “Blue Temple" since Viharn or the main building of this temple is in blue color.
Yeah! The striking blue color contrasts beautifully with the wonderful white color.
Apart from the colors that look outstanding, the architecture of Viharn is also very attractive. The walls are magnificent and they were painted and decorated neatly.
The Viharn was built with ceramics that look like the porcelain households that we used in the old days.
The entrance door of Viharn has marvelous design with magnificent mural painting in traditional Thai style.
From the images of the door, you can see the angels and Nagas who are believed to protect the Viharn from any dangers.
Inside the Viharn, you will see the large Buddha image and many more beautiful mural paintings about Buddha stories, as you may notice from the below photo.
There are many pillars which are really huge and very amazing.
Next to the Viharn, you will see a large “gong” that is very awesome and beautiful design.
I think these things make the temple look different from other temples…
As you can see, apart from making merit, when you visit this temple, you can also take a lot of photos in many corners.
After visiting the temple, you may stop by the sea point that is not far away from the temple for further relaxation and for paying respect to the Buddha image as well….
Hope you enjoy these photos……(from my sister’s trip!) ;)))
p.s. No doubt, the wonderful clouds in the photos are my favorite....(again!) ;D
