Laska sure has gained quite the fan base since we started traveling. She is the superstar of the family, no doubt. But it's not all blue eyes and "roh, roh, rohs!" in Mexico over here. Laska is quite the handful.

So after getting numerous comments asking what it's like bringing a pup with us on the road in Mexico, we made a video answering all the questions.

Traveling With a Dog in Mexico FAQs

In this video, we answer these questions:

  1. Did we fly or drive across the border? What's required to take a dog into Mexico and back into the US?
  2. Have we had any concerns feeding Laska while in Mexico? Have we dealt with any health issues?
  3. Any problems walking the dog? (street dogs, dog parks, leash required?)
  4. What it's like driving with a dog.
  5. Can you bring a dog to restaurants in Mexico?
  6. What is the best thing and worst thing about traveling with a dog in Mexico?
  7. How do we deal with finding rentals/Airbnbs that accept animals?

It's really a great travelling with your dog to Mexico. It has been part of the family

It's been nice having her for the most part. We couldn't leave her behind, that's for sure!

Of course, the presence of dogs in the team travel imposes certain limits and creates certain problems, but smozhno safe to say that all of them are surmountable and solvable, and positive that there is a pet dog, which has long been a member of the family, immeasurably more. It's like a warm and cozy piece of your home, which is on vacation, away from home, remains close to you.

That's a really great way to put it! We've enjoyed having her for the most part, but you're right about there being certain limits and problems. We also wanted to share this video to make sure people don't get the wrong idea about traveling with a pet. It might not be as glamorous as it seems from our videos. But, if someone is very attached to their pet... they'll make it work! :) Thanks for the comment!

It's great that doggo gets to share in your adventures! It is probably safe to say your adventures wouldn't be the same without her.

What a great quote! Dogs have an amazing way of loving you unconditionally. Imagine the world if people acted the same way. :) And you're right about that, our Mexican travels would never be the same if she wasn't here! Thanks for the comment. Hope you enjoyed the video!

Laska with her beautiful eyes. How cool can a dog get? Hahaha please just leave the shades for him and get another for yourself Jordan.

Really loving what you are doing with your hair too.

Laska is really handful and i can imagine the struggles sometimes, but like Maddie said, she compliments that with her cuteness and beauty. No doubt about that.

I understand you can't always go out with her, so it is understandable why she needs to be left at home, at least to keep watch over your stuffs like you said. Well done guys.

Laska should get her own steem account.. To fund his travels.. Would be nice to read of a dog's on the road adventure.

We still need to create that account. If we don't act soon, someone is going to squat that name. Haha

Great post! I like your dog! :)

Thanks for the comment @atum26! Hope you got a chance to watch the video and see some of Laska's funny antics.

Use dtube! What generation are you in :P

One of our goals in our travels is to bring as many people as possible to Steem. If we focus our efforts on DTube or DLive, we won't be able to do that because all of those users are already on Steem.

YouTube is the second-largest search engine in the world and it's owned by the #1 search engine in the world. It offers a ton of exposure and growing our channel over there will allow us to build a stage from which we can promote Steem to 1,000s and 1,000s of non-Steemians.

Also growing our YouTube channel will allow us to get several other income streams that aren't yet possible by posting on Steem. (sponsorships, ad revenue, patreon, paid tours, paid reviews).

Do you actually earn more on youtube than dtube? Hmm this is interesting. It will be great if you can disclose some too. I just gave you a topic for your next video! :P And yeah publicity wise, you're on the right path.

We don't earn anything from YouTube yet. But at our current growth rate, I'd be willing to bet that we'll have companies reaching out to us within a couple of months wanting to partner with us. Soon after that point in time, I think our YouTube earnings will surpass those coming from Steem.

I use to always wonder how I could get to travel with a dog, I use to think oh my God, it's inconvenient really, although the dogs here may give you trouble even tettering them across the street, well it's amazing you guys did without any trouble, enjoying the Mexico trip, yes?

I wouldn't say we did it without any trouble. Lol! You're very right about it being inconvenient. She's quite the handful most days. But we're glad to be able to take her with us. If we didn't have a car, she might have had to stay with someone back in the US!

Haha well what can I say, the troubles were definitely worth it.

I'd have to agree.

She's been a great travel companion for the most part. And a troublemaker sometimes! ;) Did you see her trying to evade us in the last part of the video? Such a goofball. haha
