Cost of Living in Mexico + A Tour of Our New Home in Guadalajara
We've had a ton of requests to do more videos on the cost of living in Mexico. During our entire three months traveling in Mexico, we've been renting short-term Airbnbs. While that worked out alright, it was more expensive than living in a longer-term rental, and there are a lot of unknowns with rentals as well. What will my landlord be like? Does this person have the authority to lease this to me? Are there things to worry about in the neighborhood? Is there a lot of noise at night?
Thankfully, we felt very comfortable renting this home because we've rented from the same landlord through Airbnb and she was amazing. If you're curious to know what the cost of living is like in Guadalajara, Mexico, check out our latest video below!

$350 per month looks a great deal. Want to see more videos related to Mexico
I think the cost of living in Mexico is not as bad as I thought. Keep the travel fun and exciting!
It varies a lot depending on what city you're in and what part of the city. There are 1.5 million dollar apartments here that are near the Ferrari dealership in Guadalajara. So if you have a lot of money to spend, there are certainly places to do it here. But, we're still in a great location and in a place we love. Thanks for watching!
Woooow!. Who would have thought that!. Ofcourse, I know it would cost you guys, but actually calculating the cost makes the sacrifices more obvious. Really proud of you guys and all you had to do to make us all excited and keep us entertained. You guys are the best!!!. Always rooting for you guys.
Hahaha almost 3,000. I am exciiitttteeeeddddd!!!
We're not quite on pace to reach our goal this time around. We need about 250 new subs per day and we've averaged about 220 the last 3 days. YouTube has been messing with us the past couple of days and we've been getting fewer views. But, we've seen this happen before, YouTube will give us our worst day in 2 weeks and then the next will be our best day ever.
Wow!. What's wrong with them!. Aaarrrggghhh!.
It's a phase like you said and it will pass. So sorry about that. I still believe the 5,000 will be met in time, regardless of whatever antics YouTube does. This shop has sailed.
Well done guys.
I hope to visit Mexico soon

Cool, guys! Glad I found another couple of real travelers on steemit ;). A couple of years ago, we traveled through Central America for almost a year and rented a house in San Cristobal de las Casas for 6 weeks. We got the tip thanks to some fellow travelers who were going to leave the place to move on to another country. It was very basic and located in the middle of a street with only locals living there and that was one of the best decisions we have ever made. It was a real experience to live with the Mexicans, especially because we were living on a budget of 9 euro per person per day and that was quite doable, as long as we went to local markets and didn't go out eating in fancy restaurants every day ;). Don't worry, we had the occasional mescal now and then. Anyway, this city is worth a stay for a couple of weeks/months if you are looking for an authentic little city. Cheers
