What happens when you mix oodles of cheap margaritas with a boatload of bubbly foam? An Aretha Franklin song that spells "T-R-O-U-B-L-E." Lol
Oh man, where to begin?
Well, probably a disclaimer. These are not our everday experiences in Mexico. 4 margs in a few hours? Zoiks! We're not here for a nonstop party, but when in Puerto Vallarta during Spring Break...do like the college kids. (Except perhaps with a little more moderation.)Get ready for a DOUBLE DOSE of hilarious videos today.

(Skip down to watch the full video.) Neither of us had been to a foam party before. We honestly had no clue what to expect. A super-clean foamy nightmare? An absolute sludgy blast? An opportunity to do some laundry in public? No clue. But onward we went with our expectations in check.
The Cover Charge & Our Sneaky Cost-Saving Strategy
When passing by Señor Frogs before, they had told us the cover (without open bar) would be $200 pesos each (~$10 USD). That seemed somewhat reasonable, but we still hoped to get a better deal. On the night of the party, our strategy was to walk close enough to the entrance to get the attention of some promoters but act completely disinterested in coming inside if they stopped us.We pretended to consider coming in, and the promoter quoted us $100 pesos each. Already, (score! ) much less than we were expecting.....buuuuuut, we still acted like "I don't know. It seems fun but we can't pay $100 pesos." We feigned a walk-away and almost immediately, the man said we could come in for free. Victory dance! BOOM, that's how it's done, son!

What did we think of the Señor Frogs Foam Party?
We definitely lost some hearing after being in the overly loud, enclosed club, but it was soap-er worth it. Both of us had more fun at this party than the whole time we've been here in Puerto Vallarta so far.Video #2: Self-Guided $1 Margarita Tour
(Skip down to watch the full video.) It all started with Jordan's impromptu idea to take ourselves on a margarita tour in Puerto Vallarta. And not just any margaritas...the $1 kind. They're advertised all over PV's malecon, but after being in the city for a week, we hadn't tried a single one.
Before the tour, we thought the margaritas would be:
- Syrupy and sweet,
- Filled with high-fructose corn syrup and other artificial ingredients, and
- Almost completely void of any tequila (or if it had the usual amount, it would be the cheap kind).
When it was all said and done, we discovered that we've been doing it allllll wrong in Puerto Vallarta. We also include the best restaurant for these budget-friendly $1 margaritas.

What did we think of our self-guided tour?
