The Playmobil Funpark and the Devil's Cave!

in #travel6 years ago

Hello Steeminas,

We visited the Playmobil Funpark and I have to say that my expectations were more than exceeded. I won't put the pure numbers on the table here, everyone can see that for themselves on the Funpark website. Rather, I want you to share my felt experience.

(Pictures of the Devil's Cave can be found at the end of this article)

Price:

I had already heard and read that the park entrance is not expensive with scarcely 10 euro one cannot really grumble. Sure, there are no rides etc. However, the plant still needs to be maintained and repaired, but even more so. The food there is from "yes fits" to really very tasty which is not normal for an amusement park. And everyone who regularly reads my blog knows that I value good food, so you can trust me a little bit in that respect. But now in addition here the ice does not cost as so often in swimming pools and Co 3.80 but with under 2 euro really normal price has. A really very tasty salami pizza with 38 cm diameter for 5.90 Euro and the kids menus also include drinking and a Playmobil figure every time. The children's menu also costs 5.80 euros, at least at the Pizza Restaurant. Consider however that such a figure already 2 euro costs it is then already cheap. Also about the quality of the homemade ice cream we could only be amazed, really delicious.

Activity park

The Playmobil Funpark is not a typical amusement park, it is intended for all age groups of children but for adults there is not really anything to do except to deal with their children and just that is really mega great! Almost all attractions have to be filled with life by the visitors themselves. Besides that every topic from the police to the pirate world always includes a big climbing and playground, you can cruise around with a raft, step through a parkour with warp cars, steer the water course of the huge water playground via small locks or search for small treasures in the western town in front of the gold mine. The latter gold nuggets and gems can be taken home, a great idea! The whole park is completely barrier-free and can be crossed easily with a pram. This active experience, however, demands its price from the small ones, as children are so you don't always notice that you are totally finished, one should really pay attention to it. And in this heat of 2018 anyway. Luckily there are 3-4 larger water playgrounds in the park, each of which fits the respective theme, so one finds a small stream with beautifully laid out stones in the tree house and jungle area, in the Wild West there is the big mud playground, in Fairyland a small enchanted toddler river and in the dino area the mystical temple complex. You can't swim everywhere, but you can always play with the water.

The complex

The entire park is beautifully designed and wonderfully clean. Many small paths, shortcuts and secret passages make the park an experience even after several visits. I myself was totally surprised when I came with my kids from the slides at the beginning of the park through a mini maze to a lower entrance of the knight's castle and then through a passage in the castle itself under a small grandstand came out, really made great and there is really something to discover for the little ones at every corner in this park. In the park itself great importance is attached to security, already when entering the area rucksacks and bags are checked, which tritz of the high number of visitors, weekends and the holiday season has worked out super fast, also at the cash we had to wait no 2 minutes. Even within the park everything gets quite well with visitors, there was no question about it, but at the few attractions at which one must queue up, like Kettcar or raft trip is defined for the use a fixed period of 5 minutes and then come the next. So also here the longest waiting time was 15min which is really completely OK with the high number of visitors. Only that one had to pay extra for the miniature golf we found so beautiful but that was also the only one.

The HOB-Center

The HOB is a huge event center at the beginning of the park. There you will find a large restaurant, ATMs and a large toilet facility. But the heart is an indoor climbing course which is accessible from 5 years and a really large play area in which tables, benches and niches are filled with all kinds of Playmobil toys that all children are free to use as they please, a great idea as we found. The children can quickly spend 1-2 hours there and you can sit nearby, rest, eat or simply play together with your children. From the doll house to the figures of dragon taming made easy there is a huge selection for the small and also bigger children. At the exit of the park one finds, as so often, still another gigantic Playmobil Store in which there are really real bargains which one would have to pay otherwise, yes also in the Internet, more expensively. I mention the shop because the HOB still offers the possibility to watch your children playing and you quickly notice what they like about toys in the PLaymobil world.

Conclusion

An all around beautifully designed park, which is clean and suitable for children in every form. Here is not simply sprinkled but even play is the theme and then at every corner. Parents should know this before you go, but that is the nice, intimate time to spend with the family. The costs both for the park and inside are absolutely manageable and so maybe there will be a little something at the end of the day for the little ones. It's nice to see that there are amusement parks that use a different concept, you can literally feel that there were people at work here who just love children.

Plus: The journey

Since we come from Munich we still have 3 hours until we could move into our holiday apartment in Nuremberg on Friday, so what to do? I stumbled across Germany's largest show cave, one hour away from Nuremberg it was a welcome cooling off during the mega summer. In the cave it has a constant 9 degrees no matter what time of year. It was really a great experience and shows that we have treasures to discover all over our country. Here are a few more pictures!
