BHARAT DARSHAN: EXPLORING THE UNEXPLORED: Triyuginarayan- The Cosmic Marriage (Episode-1)
In this premiere show of our documentary travelogue on Steemit, "Bharat Darshan: exploring the unexplored", Sukhnidhey Films takes our viewers to witness a rarely seen magical place. In the heights of the mighty Himalayas lies an ancient place called the "Shiva Parvati Vivah Sthal", or "Triyuginarayan" which witnessed a divine, cosmic event, the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in Satyuga, the period of time 4 million years ago.
The exact spot of the divine marriage, "Brahmshila", can be still seen even today, and so can the perpetual fire around which Shiva-Parvati undertook the customary rituals of the Indian marriage. The ceremony was presided over by the creator God-Brahma, as well as Lord Vishnu, who also played the part of Goddess Parvati's brother. The ancient Indian text, the "Skanda Purana", describes the details of the marriage in detail. It species how the supreme Hindu architectural deity Vishvakarma Himself built a magnificent marriage Mandapa (ceremonial hall) at the place, which had models of all living and non-living entities, so real that the guests were awe-inspired with the divine art.
We pay respects to the perpetual fire, the "Dhananjaya Agni", in the temple premises which has been burning since three Yugas, for millions of years. We look at the ancient practice of collecting historical records here at Triyuginarayan, where the visitors can view one's records of several generations. We explore everything and take you through this exciting journey to the ancient unknown land.
We also critically examine the architectural features of the place and compare it with the descriptions as given in the ancient texts, like Skanda Purana.
So, hold your breath, tighten your seat belts and come along with us as we take you to this divine place, gather and document historical evidences on this enchanting journey, studying the architectural features and critically examining the events as described in the ancient Indian texts, and as we see them first hand.
