By train through Europe - 30th August - Amsterdam

@thi-js had to leave early in the morning to save people's lives, which left us to explore Amsterdam on our own ... hadn't there been @mathowl!

@mathowl took the train all the way to Amsterdam, just to meet us. The meeting spot was the piano at Amsterdam central station.

Once he arrived, @mathowl turned into the perfect tourist guide, trying really hard to steal the title of "best tourist guide" from @alexdory.

One of the sights was an inner courtyard, where several centuries in the past the widows and orphans of soldiers could live for free, and be protected.

_{Protestant ... lutheran? Ah, I never know what it's in English! Evangelische churches always look so much brighter than Catholic ones. It's amazing.}

Around noon, @mathowl took us to an awesome Viatnamese place for lunch. Super delivious and not too costly!

Why Viatnamese and not Dutch? Both @mathowl and @thi-js told us that there isn't really that much amazing Dutch food ... I might have wanted some Poffertjes tho.

In the late afternoon, we said goodbye to @mathowl, bought some food stuff and returned to @thi-js apartment, who in the meanwhile had picked up a cat. A friend of his needed a cat sitter for some time.
