The Mask Gorge in Tenerife.

Gorge Mask, along with the forests of Anaga and the Hell Gorge is the result of the activity of the volcano, which formed these rocky reliefs. These places are definitely worth a visit. I advise in the following order: Forests Anaga, Infernal canyon, and after the Gorge Mask, it is more complex and picturesque.

By 9.00 we planned to be in place, the road by taxi will approximately take 30 minutes. The track from the village to the shore of the ocean will take 3-4 hours, if you consider that you will make stops to take pictures, snack, feed the local birds, see the mountain goats on the rocky slopes if they meet you on the road as they met us.

We rise to the mountain village. The road passes along a very steep serpentine, on which sometimes two cars can hardly part. By the way, this road was opened only in the second half of the last century. Before that, only narrow mountain paths led to the village and the place was truly far from civilization. And despite this and to this day there are about 120 residents.

Ahead of the track for 6 km along the rocks, gorges, waterfalls. Sometimes there are difficult areas and you should think about where to rearrange the foot.

On the one hand, the place is tourist, but on the other hand, you feel the power and strength of nature, its primordial nature.

By stroking these steep cliffs above your head, you can imagine the trajectory of the burning volcanic lava that formed the gorge.

At the end of the track there is a slight fatigue and at the same time a charge of energy, which you are drinking from this amazing beauty of nature.
There is already a light leaking through the rocks, very soon we will go to the shore of the ocean.

The ocean today is noisy, the wave is breaking against the rocks with unprecedented force, and you are already confronted with a new manifestation of the power of nature. We are waiting for our ship on the pier and enjoying the view. There was a wonderful excursion.
