The Biggest Bowl of Noodles Ever - Ate Great 23
As far as I'm concerned, this is Japan's largest bowl of noodles. I must say, the udon chef did tell us, "This, very very big." We just kind of brushed it off trying to be polite and say no problem, we'll still order and now know exactly why he had 2 very's in his sentence. I'll also add that it was one of the most delicious bowls of noodles ever, but being a noodle shop directly connect to the Shibuya Crossing, you have to be great no matter the size of the bowl.
We had just finished another day of power shopping and decided to slip into a quick eatery but being on vacation in Japan, we always enjoy taking our time. I love the machines and computers that assist your orders using futuristic concepts in a still primitive modern world. I ordered for every one but without the ability to read Japanese, you have to pay attention to the size of the item at most restaurant, which at most times is an awesome privilege to have.
Though to many Japanese it may have been a normal lunch, but to us it was a feast for all the ages because of this super bowl of noodles. For what it's worth, I did try to take that super bowl of noodles down but it just wasn't happening on this day. I was still in awe that I forget to commentate in English so we'll just get by on this post. We had other normal size bowls of noodles and some gyoza dumplings and the classic, beer. It was an awesome lunch indeed.
