A PICTURE WITH THE GOVERNOR DURING MY JOURNEY THROUGH THE SEA
Another adventurous episode in omu resort, a place located in the outskirt of ibeju lekki Lagos Nigeria, filled with unending fun and fascinating animals.
This episode is a journey through the aquarium with different spices of fishes, here i could take a closer look at certain fishes i see on TV, but before then i met some prominent people and forgotten history.
The BEGINNING
The entrance to the hall of the resort is a beautiful sight to behold, with nice decorations, grasses and ponds.
Right inside the hall there was so many electronic rides made for kids too have fun.
A picture of History
The Carter Bridge
Here is the Carter Bridge at island Lagos Nigeria this time its in the year 1951 when it was newly built. Back then it has no traffic, not much cars with little or no human activities compared to this present day and the cars are old and outdated.
A view of Lagos state 1951
Surprisingly this is a street veiw of Lagos state in 1951 with few old mud houses and old rusted zinc roofs, the roads are made of mud and the cars are old and outdated.
A picture with the former Governor of Lagos
This is a statue of honor to the former Governor of Lagos state, ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU.
He was born on 29 March 1952 and was elected senator for Lagos west constituency in 1993 and after the return of democracy he was elected the Governor of Lagos state and was in power from 29 of May 1999 to 29 of may 2007.
The late president of Nigeria
This is the late president of Nigeria UMARU MUSA YAR'ADUA, born on 16 August 1951. He was the 13th head of state in Nigeria, he won the presidential election held in 2007 but unfortunately died in office on May 5th 2010.
JOURNEY THROUGH THE SEA

They are named so because they swim upside-down and have black belly and white top which is an opposite coloration pattern to most fishes. They can be found in streams, slow moving rivers and small dry ponds. They are multinatured.
African Arrrowana
Have very large horny scales, olive grey colours and have typical habits of leaping out of water like aN arrow. They can be found in swamps and creeks where water current is not strong.
snake head fish
The head looks like that of a snake and the coloration is striking similar to that of a snake, they are expert jumpers and feed on fishes.
puffer fish
Can be found in fresh or brackish water, they puff out when threatened and have pointing spines. They feed on both plants and fishes.
water Crab
Are primarily nocturnal but emerges during the day, they are capable of morphological colour change, been pinkish in hue during the morning and darker grey in the afternoon or during rainy days.
turtles
They feed on plants and are good swimmers
Gold fish pond
Here i was opportuned to see live gold fishes, they were the most beautiful fishes of all and there were some crown fishes found amongst them.
THE BIRDS SANTUARY
A walk through the aquarium and taking pictures with the statues of former Governor and President wasn't the end of the fun.
This is a place called the birds santuary, specifically separated for different species of birds and butterflies.. Here they have..
parrots
doves
Bronzewing
Guinea pigs
We luckily bumped into three cute Guinea pigs with brown, white and black colours.
Fortunately this isn't the end of the journey, there are still so many fascinating places to explore. Next is the fun environment with spaceship and pirateship.

Very interesting attraction! Thank you for reviewing it for us. The bits of Nigerian history were very interesting, I would love to see a picture of that bridge today! I bet there are a lot more cars!
Seems like a very nice little aquarium with many different samples, and I see the Guinea pigs love their papaya!
Thanks @ecoinstant , a picture of the same bridge is possible, it's even more beautiful than it looks on that picture frame, was planning on getting pictures for comparison ... I also love the Guinea pigs, hope to have some in nearest future.
