UDAIPUR: The City of Lakes

Udaipur is a small city amidst the royal state of Rajasthan, India. This city in itself is a symbol of strength, courage and self righteousness. You can whiff the bravery in its air and taste the sacrifice of the people in its soil.

The grand palaces stand tall to tell the tales of ancient times. They are the windows opening into the life style of the kings and queens. The rich architecture and gold coated wall intricacies show that they had one lavish life. They were not just royalty by blood but the very definition of the word!
Vast spread of the palaces, followed by beautiful gardens. Their balconies gave the mesmerising view of the lakes. Lakes as blue as the sky.

The picture shows the very famous water palace, known as the Taj. Many of you might already know it as this place was shot in James Bond movie octopussy.

These pictures are a small preview of the endless charismatic looks of the Grand City Palace of Udaipur. Parts of these palace are off limits to the tourists as the former royal family still resides in it!
