Kuakata is one of the best places is loated in the southern part of Bangladesh. its located in Latachapali union of Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district, this place is the most attractive sea beach in Bangladesh. The sunrise and sunset from the same beach are not the second place in this country. In addition to the unmatched beautiful sea beaches, there are many more attractions in Kuakata.

The name Kuakata originated from the word 'kua' — the Bengali word for "well" which was dug on the seashore by the early Rakhine settlers in quest of collecting drinking water. They landed on the Kuakata coast in the 18th century after being expelled from Arakan (Myanmar) by the Mughals. Afterwards, it has become a tradition of digging wells in the neighbourhoods of Rakhaine tribes for water.

Kuakata Beach is pretty clean. Due to its geographical location, only the sunrise and sunset scenes can be enjoyed from this beach. Sunrise is best viewed from the gongamati bend on the eastern edge of the beach. And the best place to visit the sunset is the west beach of Kuakata.

The quake beaches are about 18 kilometers long. There are long coconut trees in the entire length of the beach. But the climate change touches the attraction. These coconut gardens have been broken due to breakdown of sea tides at different times. Fisherman's fishing scene is seen all year round at Kuakata beach.

The western side of the Kuakata beach is on the west side of the Fishermen. There are lots of fishermen living here. From November to March, the work of making drying is mainly done here. Fishermen make dried fish on the beach by bringing fish from the sea. Here are available to buy good quality dry fish at low prices.

Gongamati jungle

The beach of Quaqat is on the east side of the Gangetic canal. From here, the forest of Gangamati has started. Many people call it a jungle of jungle. In addition to various trees, there are various birds, forests, chickens, monkeys etc. in this forest.

On the east side of the beach, Kuakata has crossed the forest of Gangamati and went further in front of Crab Island or Cimar island. There are red crab dwellings in this place. Sundarban's breathless forest, the name of his Fatara forest, is crossed on the west side of Kuakata beach. The wild animals of the Sundarbans, but no ferocious animals are there. Forests of forest, monkeys and other birds are in the forest. The wild pigs are rarely found in this forest. From the Kuakata to Fatara will go to the forest in the boat.

Kuakata well

Sima Buddhist Temple

Sima Buddhist temple in front of the old quay of Quayakata. This temple, made of wood, has been constructed in the corridor several years ago. However, there are still 37 Buddha statues made in ancient temple of Buddha.

Karanipara

Karanipara, the home of small ethnic groups, is situated in front of the boundary Buddhist Temple. The main work of Rakhine women here is to embroider clothes. The cold wrappers made by Rakhines are quite attractive.

About eight kilometers away from the Kuakata beach, a group of small ethnic groups of Rakhains called the name of Egypt village. There is a large Buddhist temple here. It is said that this temple has the largest Buddha statue in the subcontinent. Apart from this, there is a small village situated in Amkhla village, the biggest settlement in the region.

Kuakata is the only beach in South Asia where the sunrise and sunset can be seen standing. It is undoubtedly a great way to see the sun shining in the sea's belly and to see the sun disappearing on the ocean.
