Photos by SpinBunny Geothermal heat pump stopped cooling
My man is good at figuring out what is wrong with something and fixing it
So when our Geothermal heat pump began not to keep the house cool he found the problem and went to Graingers and bought the part. The contacts on the old electrical contactor were burnt from over 30 years of the Geothermal heat pump turning on and shutting off .
It took a trip to Graingers to get the right part to fix the problem

15 different wires attach to this electrical contactor

The new Electrical contactor has 2 contacts and not just one like the old contactor . The people at Graingers said that the new contactor is what the numbers on the old contactor show as a replacement.
As you can see by this invoice the part was not cheap
$54.30
My man replaced the part and all is cool again
Please do not attempt to fix an Electrical appliance unless you know what you are doing it can be very dangerous.
