A TRIP TO TINAGO FALLS

Adventure nowadays is being transformed as what seem to be breathtaking experiences made by human technologies. but there's still this existing nomad thinking in our brains, no matter how civilized we are, that sometimes we need a real adventure an adventure that is made for the people by God.

Now, I wan't you to experience with me Tinago falls, a majestic waterfall found between the boundaries of Iligan City and the Municipality of Linamon.

Come! Let us experience Tinago Falls!

How to get there?

If you are within Iligan City then you need to rent a Public Utility Jeepney, which will cost 500 php, it can fit up to 20 people, so bring some, so that the 500 php will be worth it.

If you are in Cagayan de oro, then you need to ride a bus first to Iligan, which will cost 160 php. Then travel to Linamon.

If you are a lone adventurer, then you just need a HABAL-HABAL, which is a public motorcycle ride that would get you fast to your destination, will only cost you 100 php per ride to the entrance of the water falls.

What to wear

In tinago, a man made stairs were made,s o it's not difficult to go down there. So you can wear a simple shirt, shorts, and slippers. But as for my case, I wore what I used in PAMPAM FALLS cause these all happened in one day.

What to bring

Bring a lot of food.
Extra clothes.
Action camera.
Sunscreen lotion.
Drinking water..

As we ride into the vehicle, me and my mates are worried because it was raining. but of course the rain did not stop us.

As we cointue our travel, it was still raining, and the clouds seems immovable. so we kept our faith, that it's going to be better.

Then suddenly, while going to Linamon, the clouds started to look bright.

This time it opened up, a ray of sunshine sliced through the thick clouds.

And hope is now seen.

It took 20 minutes for us to reach the municiplaity.

We arrived at the municipality of Linamon, and waited for our friend, which is also our tour guide, and also the daughter of the municipality's mayor.

After we waited, she directly guide us into an intersection, where there's only a few people living.

The road is well maintained, and you can really tell that it is safe.

After a few moment we had at the wide road, we turned left and find ourselves in a 2-lane road still concrete, with full of trees.

That lady you see there, who's riding the motorcycle, who is wearing a sky blue shorts, hmmmf that's our tour guide. ain't she cool?



So we continued head on, it took 15 minutes for us to get to the entrance.

Finally! we are so done with the road trippin'. it was indeed long and tiring, at least the groves are beautiful.

Now the real adventure starts!!

Pay first 20 pesos, for the entrance fee. Tinago falls is owned by the local government, so the money goes to either the City or the Municipality.

Just when you thought that you are there already, but sad to say, you will see a very long stairs down.

It was indeed a long way, and did I mention that it takes approximately 400 steps down just to get there. All our feet were literally shaking, and you can't even control it.

I don't know what my finger was doing, but it's actually a decent view.

INTO THE WATER!!

You will need to pay for the life vest first, it's 25php. It's a requirement for you to be able to ride the boat and swim into the water.

Their only water activitie there was the bamboo boat ride, in which it costs us 380 php, but we only paid 300 php, cause they gave us a discount.

Actually if you're alone, then you will have to go with other tourists. it costs 20 php.

It will consume 15-20 minutes including the solo pictures.

Now, heading to the falls, but not really the main one.

You will actually go to the mini waterfalls, where it feels like raining.

HEY! Did you know that the real challenge is upon going up, cause you have to climb the long stairs, and I was traumatized because of my weight, you know I'm chubby. But if you're fit and skinny, then there will be no problem. (even puked after I conquered the climb.)

Going home, I felt really satisfied, cause I conquered two waterfalls in the same day.

Now, I want you all to know that Tinago falls' water color depends on the weather, if it rained the other day, then expect a brown water, but if it's sunny, then expect a blue one.

I'm not you telling that travelling alone is bad, but being with your friends or even acquaintances is going to give you a good experience.

As for me, my experience in Tinago is one of a kind, because I am with my cousins and you know as a Filipino family is everything.
