Failed attempt
These two pictures here are quite unique. Because even I have not seen such a thing live, something that has survived to this day - a three-dimensional advertisement of the Bulgarian state lottery, the so-called in Bulgarian 'тото', or 'toto', placed on the building above the office where lottery tickets are sold. These tickets, which for years gave some hope to the people (deceptive, of course).
Then we have some communist monument here (again a boring story):
together with a typical residential building behind:
And here are the contrasts:
modernity
against the beauty of the old abandoned houses. And both, against the background of a kind of destruction.
Oh, I forgot to tell you that it is possible to feel a little sad when walking in such a small village in Bulgaria, seeing the devastation that exceeds the construction. Which is completely typical of the Bulgarian reality. Now, before, and as expected - in the future.
I very much hope there will be no war here. Because after the destruction of the war, after the destruction of a bomb or bombs, I doubt that anyone will start building again. Nobody here does it. At least - the rulers don't do it.
Ok, we at least build monuments. To people who have long since died, heroes and figures that this country is never capable of possessing again.
At least that's what is being done. But nothing more.
...
Well, that's not fair. Trying to make a normal travel post on this platform turns out to be impossible for me.
Because this is where I got used to speaking frankly, where I got used to sharing my thoughts and feelings.
And again, this is the only place I can do this.
Therefore, any attempt at something else - some other kind of post fails.
Ok, I have 'all the time in the world' in front of me, right 🤭. And I will try tomorrow again.

| Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|
