Al Bacio Napoli Authentic Italian Restaurant in Dalian China
This new restaurant is located in China but it's imitating Europe, the complex is called March du Clouds
This was absolutely delicious. This part of Dalian is quite new it's only been open about a year. I watched it develop from a hole in the ground to what you see here. Chinese people are hungry for something different. They want variety just like anyone else including in their architecture. For thousands of years everything was the same and the cultural revolution simplified things even more.
Today, it's no wonder replicating other cultures is so luxurious here. It isn't cheap.
Even the chefs Marko and Stefano here are from Italy and super friendly speaking English.
Truly masters of their profession in both skill and hospitality. All the ingredients are imported from Italy and the cocktails use premium alcohol. Perfectly mixed Manhattan.
You couldn't get a more authentic Italian style Pizza anywhere outside of New York City. lol
These Al Bacio same name as the restaurant were magnificent. It was my first time to try something like this. Wow, and explosion of cheesiness breaking through the flaky bread shell. I would go back just for this.
They use a classic wood fired hot stone oven to ensure the best damn food. This is the type of food you see on TV cooking competitions.
You know it's classy when your dessert comes in a Martini glass.
Marko told us a shot this fresh lime citrus with a hint of booze (forgot which one) was a traditional Italian way to finish a meal as it will help with digestion.

If you're in Dalian and need something that's not Chinese food you won't regret this place. It's world class anywhere. Promise.

One thing I often miss out on when going to Italian restaurants in any city/country is the pasta sauce. I love to make pasta at home and just use store bought sauce, big mistake on my part. So when I go out i usually order food I can't cook myself. I really should try their sauce, I expect to be impressed.

You approach it with some sensibility, that place will likely have some quality pasta sauce, just judging by the pics of their foods :)
This looks like the real deal and not the pizza hut replicas. haha.
nothing like Pizza Hut which i do crave on occasion. But this is no comparison. ^^
Strange thing is when I crave, it's more likely to think of pizza hut than something else.
