Hello my dear friends. Let me invite you today for an excursion to a beautiful park in my city. I want to tell you a little about this park, to show photos and video that I made for you. It is a park named after Maxim Rylsky in Holosiivsky forest. At the entrance to the park we are greeted by a large monument. This monument depicts Maxim Rylsky with a book in his hands.
This park has a very interesting history of creation. And the park has an ancient legend. The park began its existence in 1631. Then Archimandrite Peter Tomb laid this park. These were green spaces. Over time, this park grew into a large forest. This forest today is 141 hectares. Already in 1957 a part of the forest was turned into a park and dedicated this park to the great Ukrainian poet Maxim Rylsky.
A beautiful fountain, playgrounds for games, various cafes, an amusement park were made in the park. Also in the park there is a cascade of 4 ponds along the Orekhovat valley. On ponds there are operating boat stations. In the park you can find a library, a theater, bicycle rental. This is a great place for walking and relaxing.
There are a lot of squirrels, gulls, and ducks in the park. And here is the park legend:
It is certainly unknown where the name of the Holosiivsky Park came from and the most popular explanation of the name: Goloseevo "is associated with a legend, as if by the end of the IX century forest forest magi lived here, who could perform miracles and influence nature with their voices. In other sources, the name is explained by the fact that in the 18th century a forest was laid on a bare place, after that the locality was called Goloseevo, or by the fact that when Mongols and Tatars invaded, women were inconsolably gossiped for lost husbands and children.
