Hello my dear friends. I traditionally go on to tell you about the interesting and amazing places in Ukraine. My husband @artem-sokoloff and I travel around the tour to show you around and introduce you to our country.

Today I will tell you about the Cross on Mount Kerek. From my previous publications, you already know that my husband and I went on a trip to western Ukraine in Berehove and Mukachevo. Ready to join us? Then go ahead.

Above the town of Beregovo rises Mount Kerek. And there is the highest and most powerful Christian cross on the mountain. My husband and I decided to find out what kind of a cross and turned it samy big cross in Europe. Cool, right? And this cross is the third largest of the crosses in Japan and Brazil. 

It became interesting to look at him more closely, and we went to the Mount Kerek, and to share with you this beauty.

In sunny weather, the cross can be seen not only in Beregovo. Nearby villages and even in Hungary, you can contemplate the monument.

This cross was erected in 2001 on the occasion of 2000 from the date of the birth of Christ on the day of Saints Peter and Paul. At its foot buried a capsule with a message to future generations, which contains the wishes of peace, happiness and grace. Around the cross on the mountain split a small square. Interestingly, in recent years watching him one and the same person, and he does it solely on his own initiative. This is due to the fact that in the year of the opening of memorial sign at the man's son was killed, and all that he was doing here, he does in his memory. The path to the summit starts at the bottom, in a small chapel and meanders up stretches. And there are already offers a wonderful view of the surrounding area.

At the foot of the Cross mounted capsule with reference to future generations: "Brothers and sisters in Christ! This cross was built as a gift to the future generation at the turn of the third millennium, and is dedicated to the 2000th anniversary of the birth of Christ. We, the people living at that time, at the beginning of the Golden Age, are sending you this message and want peace of mind, among people in the world, health and God's blessing ... ". Unfortunately up to the cross, we do not have time to walk. Almost on the way to the peak of the mountain we found the thick dusk and we had to go back to the hotel because we had settled in disadvantaged areas near of Gypsy ghettos and gave us advice that we should not walk in the evening in the city.
