Hello my dear friends. Today I want to tell you about the educational system in Ukraine. In particular, in our school, which my children attend. Why do I have raised this issue? I'll explain. The fact that my family and I had never been in other countries and I'm wondering how people live in other countries. Maybe someone of you share with me the story of his country.

      

And just about education. As you know I have two children. Daughter Olga goes to fourth class, and son Dima goes to the second class. This year my daughter at the end of fourth class in three subjects will examinations, this literary reading, mathematics and the Ukrainian language. But first things first.

In Ukraine, the children are sent to school is usually between the ages of 6-7 years. Kids are preparatory commission and enter the first grade. On admission to the school kids should be able to read (the syllables), take it easy to solve logical problems, to be able to recite short texts. Learning foreign languages (in Kiev) begins with the first class, in this case, English and French. In the first class in class writing kids pushut in notebooks in a diagonal line. So in children produced calligraphy. And in the second half of training in second grade kids are already starting to write in their notebooks in line. In Ukraine there are 12-point evaluation system.    

Learn in Ukraine up to 11th grade, and some children can finish school after the ninth grade. After high school, enrolled in higher education institutions or technical schools. New school year begins on 1 September and ends on 25 May. Learn to kids from Monday to Friday, and some schools learn and Saturday. Lessons start at our school in the morning half of the ninth. One lesson lasts 45 minutes, then 10-15 minutes change. The son and daughter of five lessons per day. They are taught the following subjects: mathematics, reading literature, Ukrainian, English, French, informatics, natural sciences, physical education, painting, labor, art, music, I am in the world, the foundation of health. Sometimes they pass the Olympic competition. My kids love to take part in competitions in mathematics and English language. We have many certificates.

The classes (in Kiev) usually attend 30-35 people. In rural schools, children in classes is much less. Also on holidays for children schools school administration organizes various concerts and events. For Primary school children in the school provide a free lunch. At the request of the school cafeteria, you can buy pies, rolls, drinks and sweets. Here we have a school. If I missed something please ask. I'll be sure to answer. And share your stories.
