My Travel to Karelia (my own photos)

In prime, pristine forests of the Karelia Republic (forests are called in such a way here) suchlike type species of the forest’s world inhabit.

These inhabitants are as sweet as a sugar! (It’s clear that they can be found only in the tourist’s area))

The Tohmajoki river is not far from Sjargilahta village.

It’s the very place, where “The Dawns here are quiet” film was acted. Right here Jane Komelkova was bathing and diverting German soldiers. An orange water in the river isn’t a photoshop, it’s really has such a color! The reason is that it rises from peat lands. On the photo you can see Ahvenkoski waterfall, from the Finnish it’s translated as “a perch doorstep”. But we hardly can call this place a WATERFALL. It’s a simple doorstep. And never the less Karelians are proud of their waterfalls and guides with tourists also say WATREFALLS out of respect to the local citizens.

There are suchlike rocks along a river, properly speaking marble lumps.

Most of the rocks are covered by a moss. Luxurious moss vines also over the forests lands. There is no empty land here, except the space around the trees…

This is Karelian famous mountain fleet the Ruskeala.

A marble was minded here for decorating of imperial palaces and cathedrals in St. Petersburg at the beginning of the 18th century. At those times it lay much more deeper and it wasn’t sent to the bottom, to wit it was not the lake. Once it was broken an unknown water vein during the marble minding, and so it had started… a picturesque lake of 70 meters deep was a result of those mistake. Divers like this place, but even experienced say that it’s rather spooky there…

And that is so called Musical grotto in a marble canyon.

If you will get into it on a boat, you can sing even slightly, but you will hear a strong voice of a professional. And it’s not a legend – at the moment of my visiting of that place a man was singing. “A black raven” was sounding as it was produced by a leader of Cossack chorus, to say the least of it. It’s not a joke. It’s said that those man couldn’t come to himself. He was deeply overmastered by his singing and his voice (his daughter recorded his singing and gave him to listen to it).

That is a Ladoga view.

If you will look narrowly, you will see some kinds of objects there… These are cribs of the trout farming. A trout is growing in it. There are 4 cribs, there is a fish of different ages in each of it. Each crib contains 5 tones of the fish. On the beach there is a factory, where this trout is salted, smoked and conserved. There is a company magazine. The prices … are corresponded closely to a high quality and assurance that you buy an original product. For example, that you are buying not a dog-salmon or pink-salmon with painted white blood streaks, which a tout has.
