Tabriz: The city of history and heritage
East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. Located here on the highest peak of the vast volcanic mountain Sahand, Tabriz, surrounded by the Sunny Mountains, is one of Iran's historic and oldest cities. The city is located at 1,350 feet above sea level, originally located in the valley adjacent to the Kuru river.

Tabriz in history
The history of Tabriz is found in history, thousands of years before Christ's birth. The first millennium grave was found in the archaeological excavation by Tabriz's world-famous tradition 'Blue Mosque'. Tabriz is also mentioned in an Epigraphy of the reign of the Assyrian King Sergeant II of 714 AD. David Rale, the pundit of ancient Egyptian scripture, claimed that the legendary 'Garden of Eden' was nowhere near to Tabriz. Archaeologist Eric H. Clayne, however, denied his claim.
It was also the capital of several rulers in the history of Tabriz's early era. It is, however, presumed that the foundation stone of the current Tabriz was established in the third or fourth year or seventh year, under the rule of the Sassani emperors. After the Muslims conquered Tabriz, 'Azad' tribes of Yemen began to live here. After the devastating earthquake, in 791 AD Zubaida, wife of Abbasid caliph Harun-Ar-Rashid, rebuilt it and beautified Tabriz.After attacking Mongols in Persia it went under their control and got the status of the capital of the Mongol rulers. Western tourists who have traveled in the thirteenth century have been fascinated by the abundance of the treasures of Tabriz, the architecture of the big building and the beauty of the famous educational institutions. Marko Polo's footprint was also read in Tabriz. He visited Tabriz during his visit to Silkroad in 1275. About the city, he said, "A big city surrounded by beautiful and beautiful gardens."
From 1375 to 1468, during the reign of the Kanola rulers, Tabriz was the capital of the Kara Konloo state of Azerbaijan. Then Tabriz went to the Shafawis. Then the Ottoman sultans also ruled the Tabriz for a while. Then again the Persia army restored Tabriz. In the thirteenth century, this market became rich and famous during Shafbhi rule. In 2010, UNESCO announced this lovely market as 'World Heritage Site'.
Blue Mosque

Unfortunately in 1773, it was destroyed in a devastating earthquake. Then the restoration of the mosque was completed gradually. It took 25 years to complete the beautiful blue artwork and complex calligraphy of the mosque. The mosque is also famous for its brilliant bricks and giant shapes. Azerbaijan Museum
Azerbaijan Museum is one of the best museums in Iran. The museum has been divided into three parts. Archaeological department will get access to the entrance. This section represents the complete picture of Azerbaijan from the fifth century to the Sassanian regime. On the second floor, from the period of Akimenid, the coins of the nineteenth century, carpets, glassware, candles etc. The basement has a bronze statue of the restaurant and artist Ahad Hassini. There are numerous paintings.
El Goli Park
El Gali Park is also known as 'Shah Gali'. This park is built on the artificial lake named 'El Gali'.
It is believed that this lake was excavated for the purpose of irrigation in agriculture. During the reign of the Qunlu kings, the lake was expanded even though during the rule of Shafbis. After the Iran Revolution in 1979, the name 'Shah' was removed from everything from Iran. Since then it is known as El Gali.

Tarabiyat Street
This is one of the oldest roads in Iran. It is basically a sidewalk, which connects Tabriz Bazar with municipal buildings
