It is a very long time to hold a grudge, it's my belief that the us government really wanted to stamp out any traces of communism because it was a threat to their way of life.. I can't imagine Cuba being too expensive to visit compared to other places so it's totally possible in your lifetime
I'm 66 years old. I don't know if free travel will exist while I am still able. I sincerely hope you are right.
