Villa Rothschilds on the French Riviera

in #travel7 years ago

If you visit this villa you will not regret it. Here as in a fairy tale, unusual and bizarre forms of trees, bushes, well-groomed flower beds, magnificent singing fountains, nothing will leave you indifferent.

The flora and fauna of the numerous gardens of the villa will not leave you indifferent. And what kind of air is here, you breathe deeply. Enjoy the beauty of nature and do not want to leave ....

A bit of history. Beatrice married a banker and oil magnate Maurice Efrussi, but she was not happy in her family life because she could not have children because of her illness. And all his free time devoted to the construction of the villa and the cultivation of magnificent gardens. The villa itself is surrounded by gardens of more than 5 hectares, each of which in itself is a work of art. The villa also has another name Ile de France - French Island. The villa was built quite a long 6 years and was replaced by 20 architects, the baroness often visited it and was very fond of her creation.

Around the villa, she broke 9 gardens: it is certainly French, Sevres, Spanish, Florentine, and I really liked the Japanese garden, followed by an exotic, Provencal and stone garden with a rose garden. The rosary is truly a paradise on earth.

This is the Japanese garden. With huge bamboo handsome. But I can not give a different-voiced singing of birds here. I recommend that when visiting the Côte d'Azur of France, you can find a few hours to see this truly heavenly corner.

The quirky and capricious Baroness wanted to combine all the styles in art that she loved. Therefore, often accusations were blamed on her in the combination of the incongruous. Yes! Handsomely. But for a long time I had to wait to capture this beauty for you. Tourists were many and all wanted to take away a piece of unique charm of this villa with them to their homeland. Picture taken from the second floor of the villa Rothschild. Pay attention to the wonderful view from the window.

It's already gone down ...

View of the Cote d'Azur ...

From each trip the Baroness brought exotic plants for her gardens. Because nothing is duplicated here, in each garden its charm.

I am always glad to share my photos and impressions of the sightseeing.
