Munich - capital of Bavaria

in #travel7 years ago

Munich - an amazing town, which is located in the foothills of the Alps, on the banks of the Isar. In this place many centuries ago the Benedictine monks settled, which laid the foundation for the city. In Munich, many beautiful places, cathedrals, churches, a lot of fountains and an amazing atmosphere, which made this city attractive to artists, musicians, intellectuals. Munich is called the most non-German city in Germany.

In Munich, there are many palaces, monuments of culture, interesting sights, but I recommend you to see the most beautiful palace of Schleissheim, with a magnificent park area where you can walk all day, with beautiful interiors.

And this is an amazing Munich museum, which is called one word "glyptoteka". The word "glyptoteka" in Greek means "repository of sculptures". In this museum a large collection of Greek and Roman sculptures is collected. Here in the huge ancient halls with very high ceilings, on which various canvases are depicted, all kinds of sculptures of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome are collected. Of particular value are the "Aeginets," such pediment figures of the temple of Athena Afayi, which belong to the archaic period.

Some pictures had to be taken from the bus, I wanted to show a lot, sorry for the quality, I had to shoot on the go.

I wanted to see everything, and the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary (Frauenkirche), and the Church of Azamkirk, and the Bavarian State Opera, and visit the famous Munich museum dedicated to BMW cars - Bayerische Motoren Werke.

I like such cars very much, and where they can be looked at like in the homeland of the world famous BMW car. It was here in Munich, there were the first plants for the production of aircraft, which after the First World War were retrained into automobile ones. In the museum you can look at the company's products from the very beginning. There are so many interesting and rare retro models of the last century, and each wanted to spend a few minutes ...

And how many in Munich Pinakothek ... In the Old Pinakothek there are expositions of masters of the XIV-XVIII centuries, and in Novaya - you can see works of art of the XIX-XX centuries. You need to come here even for a week ... There are many beautiful parks and ponds in the city, here you can ride a bike along the well-groomed alleys, consider the Olympic Park, as it can not be easily avoided on foot, see the Arena near the Arena and many interesting things.

And this building of the BMW museum outside, in the distance can be seen the headquarters of the company, decided to capture the memory.

Yes, here is the central square of Munich, it was very crowded. The famous Marienplatz, where any tourist route inevitably leads. Here in the Middle Ages knights' tournaments were held and the fish market worked, and today there are the most significant sights and always very lively.

Thanks Bayern, it was interesting!

Hehe you´re right! It´s nice but it´s definitely the most non-german city in Germany. You need to check out Hamburg and Berlin if you can. And the small city called Hamelin which really is a hidden gem, especially in summer!
