Сity near the top of Mont Blanc
If you want a good rest and enjoy the alpine mountain scenery, then you need to Chamonix. Chamonix became famous in 1924 after the first winter Olympics. The place was chosen excellent, the white snowy valley of Chamonix, located in the heart of the Alpine mountains, at the mouth of the Arva River, struck by the extent of the trails and the proximity of all the famous Mont Blanc.
The valley of Chamonix today includes several regions of skiing: it is the Gran Monte, Le Tour, Breven, Fleger, but the White Valley itself has an off-piste descent about 20 km. In 1955 the highest, for that time, cableway to the top of Aiguille du Midi was built here. Today more than 5 million tourists come to see these beauties. And I also wanted to admire the beauty of Mont Blanc and walk along the tunnel, laid in the mountain itself, and connects France and Italy.
Arriving in Chamonix, you do not want to leave this cozy little town. He's just fabulous. The houses are so cozy, small, with tiny balconies, on which such an abundance of different colors that the eye rejoices. The embankment of the Arv River is all green, but I just want to give you some advice. Be sure to buy a cream from sunburn. You will not notice how you will have time to burn, since Chamonix is ??located at an altitude of more than 1000 meters at the foot of Mont Blanc itself.
This is how our way to Mount Mont Blanc looked unusually.
In Chamonix, there are more than 40 lifts, 6 cable cars, and the sun may not be bright, but you will already, without noticing it, "sunbathe", because there are mountains around. And it is necessary to go at such a high altitude, although half of the route runs through massive rock cliffs. This is how it was necessary to manage not to destroy such giants, and hollow out the original tunnels for tourists.
I also remember the wonderful "Mont Blanc tram", a kind of railroad with a third ragged rail, climbing the Mont Blanc array up to an altitude of 2372 m. The tram pulled us to the place quite quickly.
We got this one here. By the way people were not very many, many reached the tracks by bus, but go for about 20 minutes.
In Chamonix, all the streets are small, there are practically no cars on them, many pedestrian pavements, and everywhere there are cafes, restaurants, bistros with French delicacies, mouth-watering croissants, but many Chinese restaurants. My friends tasted the duck in Beijing, were very pleased. I was looking at the hotel where Ferenc Liszt himself had stayed.
It's original, is not it.
I liked many cafes, but it struck me with its decoration in a peculiar style of home interior, where you can not only eat, but also take your favorite book, read about the history of France, not in translation, but in the original. In Chamonix, there are 3 cinemas, many night snack bars, an abundance of bars, and more than 200 restaurants of different levels, a real gourmet paradise. But that's all. The day passed like one hour, already leaving. See you soon Mont Blanc.
