Backpacking in Slovakia
This last weekend we went to Slovakian mountain range called Velká Fatra. There are few legal camp spots there. As long as you stay only one night you are actually allowed to pitch your tent there. Even though it is in National Park. So we took an advantage of it and after a long drive we arrived quite late and parked the car quite high up by one hotel. From there it was only about 15 minutes walk to our first camping spot.
Next two days we walked around 40 km, staying mostly on the ridge. There were some beautiful views all around. We were quite lucky with the weather, too. There were some storms and lots of lightning all around us but somehow it missed us. Only when we were almost back at the car there was a quick downpour but at that point it didn't matter anymore...
View is really beautiful 😍
Yes, they are beautiful mountains! Not as nice as your Himalayas though. :-)
