A weekend in the Algarve, Portugal - Part 1

Last weekend we took a trip down to the Algarve, traveling from the North of Portugal to the South. The trip took us roughly 5 hours, with stopping at two of the rest stops along the way and we left after the kid's school came out.
This meant we made it there well into the night at about half past nine in the evening.

The point of the trip was to spend two days at a theme park called Zoo Marine, http://www.zoomarine.pt/en/

This post covers the trip mostly based around the photo's I took, most of which were at the beginning of the trip before I got lost in the scenery and forgot to take more!

A rare sight indeed, A photo of the family and me, early on in the trip.

Here my idea was to take a photo out of the window every now and then, to make a chain of different points in the trip...
Did not work out that way though :D

Try as I might I could not get a nice photo of the sunlight coming through the trees.
Here in the North there are quite a few spaces where the land owners grow tress to be sold when they are large enough.
With the sun going down it was quite beautiful to see. Unfortunately the camera does not capture much of that light.
This photo is at least in focus though.

The wifey did an awesome job of preparing snacks, these sarmies being just a small part of it. We were well fed all through the trip.

And bang, we were there, nowhere near the number of photos I had wanted to take, but here is a shot of the inside of the cosy cottage we rented. It was basic, but had everything we needed as we spent most of our time away.

The wooden stairs that freaked us all out.
None of us is used to wooden stairs, nor wooden floors, as such the creaking and movement had us stepping VERY cautiously.
I have no doubt that it is solid and we were safe, it's just not what we are used to, so trips up and down the stairs were slow affairs :)
