Popular Decor in Arizona
Not surprisingly, Southwestern-themed decor is very common in Arizona. Here in north Idaho, moose- and outdoors-themed decor is popular, while Minnesotans often favor loons, lakes, and Scandinavian items, and Montanans lean toward cowboys, horses, and Native American art and bric-a-brac. I've been wondering if it would seem odd for me to establish one "Southwest Room" in my home, using the colorful Mexican pottery and tapestries I saw in Arizona. I certainly would have been surprised to have found a home in Arizona decorated with bear, moose, and forest themes.
These colorfully-painted tiles could be purchased ready-made, or specially ordered with a specific scene, like this one.
Burros are popular yard decor.
So are roadrunners. (Beep beep!)
Even blue roadrunners!
How about roadrunners made from motorcycle parts?
There's a face only a biker could love.
I love the little fat quail, both live and as decor!
Quail also turn up indoors.
My sister made this colorful wall hanging using a fabric panel she bought somewhere.
This is called a chiminea. It could be used for cooking, but mostly it just sits there and looks decorative.

If you do have a "Southwest Room," make sure it is specifically not on the southwest side or corner of your house. Because reasons.
