Perfect
One of my favourite places in the world. Chesterman Beach in Tofino. For me the perfect spot to sit in the sand and watch a sunset. Tofino and the west coast of Vancouver Island is visited by thousands of tourists every year. In the summer for camping, hiking and whale watching. In the winter storm watching is the attraction. I've been coming here since I was a kids and still love every moment of the sandy beach, cool water and sunsets.

I'm curious, what indeed would be of interest in this location for a storm watch? It seems fairly sheltered with what appears to be a peninsula as a large water break. I realize that Arctic storms are pretty terrible in intensity, and I would imagine this area would be a recipient, but I am curious as to what makes it special and visit worthy?
