Traveling to the tulips
Somewhat locally we have a Tulip festival that happens about this time every year, and we have been wanting to go for quite a while now. The festival is considered a "driving tour" because the fields are spread out over 15 miles. We didn't quite make that trek. Instead we chose one of the fields that had a few "extra's" and planted there for a bit.
Upon arrival I had a bit of sticker shock, it was $7 per adult, kids were free, but it felt a bit exorbitant for walking next to a tulip field. We had driven for an hour, so I went to the ATM, paid a $3.75 fee to get my own damn money (long live crypto!!) and we waltzed right in...
There were plenty of beautiful tulips, to walk around... but the first thing I saw was a trolley that brought you around the tulip field so I didn't have to walk around it, like some kinda normie pleb.
Everybody loved the trolley despite the bit of wind we had. The boys were running around it and all over because luckily we were the only ones on that particular ride. It was good we did, because to be honest... they would have done that anyway.
You honestly can only look at tulips for so long... It is a good thing we took the trolley
I would have beenmy kids would have been complaining about half way through.
One question we asked our trolley driver was. Whats with all the flags?. He told us that it was a peace garden, and the flags were from all the different places who participated, and also had their own peace garden! I thought it was a pretty neat idea, it made me feel at peace with everyone... except @tarazkp lol... also screw you @deadspace
The rest of the time I spent chasing my boys to make sure they didn't get into too much trouble or break anything. They ARE my kids...
The prize for the most metal \ m / flower goes too....
This dark purple flower, called BLACK DIAMOND, can you feel the death its radiating? Goregous
Hey, screw you buddy!
Also, you wanna talk about metal flowers? Look up the Amorphophallus titanum flower, also known as the corpse flower. It gives off the smell of a rotting corpse to attract flesh flies and other insects to pollinate.
Sounds like a post you would write haha
Been thinking about it for a few days after my fiancee told me about them and I looked them up, lol. Might be a bit too weird for my followers though.
Black Diamond sounds like an Amway or Scientology level.
7 dollars? That is a house price in the ghettos isn't it? Here it is a weak coffee and a stale cookie.
Lol. There is actually a city around where I used to live called Black Diamond. It is basically just a nickname for coal. Dude, 7 bucks here is a small soda at the movies. The northwest is crazy expensive.
One day I would like to visit the US. Just for the lols.
What part? Cuz it is drastically different depending on the area you go lol.
those are some gorgeous flowers, looked like a fun day with your family. Deep purple, my favorite color and one of my favorite bands.
Haha. Yeah my fav color as well
holland? i always wanna go there, with family of course
Nope. Washington State, USA
You have a beautiful family brother!!! Also this looked like an amazing day. Great pics.
Flower fields forever! Wow, I crave the day when I can bring my family to a place like this. Beautiful.
