Someone requested to post about the picture I posted of the temple. So here it is, Lets take a tour to Cebu's Temple our version of the Taj Mahal.

Love let us do even the impossible. One can sacrifice a lot out of love. We do many things just to show the person we love how precious they are to us.

How it came about?

For most Filipinos they'd say Cebuano's are loving people. I couldn't agree more.. Certified Cebuano here. And to prove that another Cebuano showed his deep and devoted love to his wife by building a temple for her. This temple is considered to be the TAJ MAHAL of Cebu.

This is The TEMPLE OF LEAH, this temple is owned by the Adarna's. Considered to be one of the elite family in Cebu. They also own a number of Queensland Motel. Temple of Leah is a shrine holding the memory and treasures of Leah Albino-Adarna, the late wife of Teodorico Soriano Adarna. The two are grandparents of actress Ellen Adarna. You can see the collection of the family from expensive jars to books and statues. This temple was officially opened to public 2 years ago. The construction started last 2012 and still ongoing.

Inside the temple you can see a gigantic Statue of Leah, beside it is a brass plaque that says, “I constructed this temple in the year 2012 A.D. as a symbol of my undying love for and ceaseless devotion to Leah Villa Albino-Adarna, my wife of 53 years. I adopted an architectural design that can withstand time and still be appreciated for a millennium so this temple will become a landmark of Cebu, where future generations of the Adarna clan ...can come and trace their roots and heritage,”. For many the temple is like the Taj Mahal of India, built to show ones love but for the Adarna's this is also for the family of the Adarna's to trace it's heritage. The place is really huge it is seven storeys high, and covers a land area of more than 5,000 square meters.

This temple is one of the most visited place in Cebu, some may say ones act for love cost much well if you'd look at this temple it does. Reportedly it cost 80 million and it will cost more than that since it is not yet done. The temple is a 45 minute drive from the city. Entrance fee costs 50 pesos. And for senior citizen and kids below 7 years old is free.

You can see that the temple and the design is inspired from Roman Architecture. There are various of Grecian Statues adorn the corners of the temple.

It is has also a spectacular view during the night for you will have a birds eye view of the city lights of Cebu. But when visiting at night you must bring a jacket or wear something warm for it becomes too cold since it is already located on top of the City.
