Santa Ana volcano

Located at 2381-m Santa Ana volcano is the highest and the most active volcano in El Salvador. One should walk along the rim of the crater very carefully. A slight mistake could throw down a person by his self a couple of hundred meters into the Sulphurous boiling lake. Santa Ana volcano never sleeps. Inside the ring of nested calderas, a green boiling lake releases clouds of fumes into the air. From above it looks like the eye of a volcano which is full of rage but is holding back its emotion.

Door to Hell

Door to hell is a 230 ft wide crater in the middle of a desert in Turkmenistan. In 1971 a team of scientist came to this area to find natural gas reservoir and for this purpose they set up drilling rig. Soon the site of the drilling rig collapsed and the release of methane gas started so the engineers thought its best to burn it off. Initially scientist believed that it would finish in few weeks but now more than 4 decades passed by and it still burning.
