That brought back memories @sandrt. Lovely to see photographs of Polerma again but I have mixed feelings about it. We visited after travelling from Malta on the catamaran. It was really rough and about 98% of us were sea sick! Some people even flew back rather than get back on the catamaran to go home. 😁

Once my tummy had settled down though we had a lovely day in Sicily. Aside from Palermo i particularly enjoyed Taormina. Did you visit there as well?

Wow, it is really much too long since I last visited Sicily - or Italy at all. This brings back such beautiful memories.

Very interesting post with nice photos. I think it's important that we protect buildings, art etc. of the past. Only in this way new generations can better understand the past. Great post!Thank you for sharing.
