Traveling with Sarah - Let's go back in time
A terrible time is upon us. Gray clouds cover the sky. The sun cannot break through the clouds. Instead of sunshine, we got rain. That now only raindrops are breaking through the clouds.
That gloomy, cold, and soulless weather did not prevent me from going on a little trip to the Ram Fortress. I seized a day that was illuminated by the sun's rays, but the sky was still decorated with clouds.
I don't like that kind of weather. When the sun breaks through, it's warm, but when the clouds come, it's cold. I don't know how to dress. Maybe I need to lug a suitcase with all the stuff for every season :D
Yes, as I said, despite this weather, I went on a little trip to this beautiful fortress. The Ramska fortress was recently restored and I had to see it. I fulfilled my wish. This fort is not far from my town so that was a relief. But yes, they did a great job. As soon as I stepped in, I felt like I was back in time. I am surrounded by beautiful walls, the smell of the Danube, and a beautiful view. This fortress awakens something in you, the view from it is indescribable. Breathtaking.
It's not very big, it's small, but it's quite lively, let it be something in you. You feel like yours is holding your hand and not letting you go. And just that look. Indescribable.
I have that feeling thanks to Bayazit 2 who built this fortress in 1483. We can also feel a little fear, even though this fortress is under the protection of the city of Smederevo, we can feel the steps of the infamous Hun leader, Attila, better known as the Scourge of God.
This fortress was totally destroyed in 1788 and its gates were then closed, it was just a ruin. But in 2019, the renovation of this fortress was completed and the gates are opening again. This fortress is now refreshed and again adorns the cliff on which it is located, as it adorns the Danube River and everything around it.
The fortress is small with a lot of spirit, it leaves you speechless. My text is like that, short but leaves you speechless :D Just kidding. The fortress is beautiful and worth a visit, as soon as it opened in the first 6 months it had over 7000 visitors. When I was there, despite this terrible weather, there were a lot of people. Visit it, take a walk, breathe fresh air and rest your head with a beautiful landscape. Enjoy the other photos I took too :D
