Inner Chamber at Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut Illuminates Every Winter Solstice
The ancient Egyptians were very skilled at architecture and artwork. They even were able to precisely construct monuments to align with celestial events. If you've ever spent some time touring Native American ruins, you know that they also did the same thing.
Considering these two groups of humans come from completely different sides of the world, this is fascinating. In this video, you can see what it looks like around the Winter solstice inside the main chamber at the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, Egypt.
It takes so much knowledge to be able to do this, we insult the ancients intelligence so often. What's cool is that in places like Machu Picchu the alignments of the pre Inca structures is slightly off, we can use computer simulations to calculate how long ago these would have lined up perfectly. The results are 10,000 plus years ago.
yeeaa I think you're talking about Tiahuanaco (perhaps not). History in South America is more complex than we imagine. Sadly, we have to slowly confirm things however possible instead of just listening to their stories. Ancient history in general is fascinating man, they knew more than most of us today.
Yeah man, It may be that site, I read it briefly somewhere so I am not sure. You may know this but we can trace DNA back and monitor past human migration. Interesting thing is that we can trace Australian aboriginal DNA was found later in Siberia, then later to South America, strangely this DNA is not found anywhere in North America... The plot thickens!
