A Lazy Long Weekend

Every now and again you need to stop, take a short break away from your daily routine and to enjoy a little bit of time for yourself.

Last weekend my wife and I did just that. We packed up the kids, booked the dog into a kennel and headed for the airport for three days of rest and relaxation on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

Located about an hour's drive north of Brisbane, the Novotel Twin Waters Resort is nestled between the Maroochy River and the Pacific Ocean. It offers a pristine beachfront location, set amongst 32 hectares of natural bushland and is situated around a private beach lined lagoon, and within minutes of arriving you'll have forgotten whatever worries you left behind back in the real world.

This place is purpose built for relaxation, from sailing or kayaking on the lake, to swimming, surfing, just lazing about or even golfing at the nearby championship course, this place has something for everyone. I have to admit, this wasn't my first visit to this magnificent resort, and it certainly won't be my last.
