About St Lucia
St Lucia is an Eastern Caribbean island nation with a set of dramatically narrowed mountains, the Pitons, on its west coast. Its coast is home to volcanic beaches, reef diving areas, opulence resorts and fishing villages. Trails in the interior rain forest lead to waterfalls like the 15m high Toraille, which gushes over a ridge into a garden. The capital, Castries, is a famous cruise port.
History Of St Lucia

These prior Amerindian cultures called the island "Iouanalao" and "Hewanorra," meaning "Island of the Iguanas." The history of the island's European finding is a bit vague.
