This beautiful place very close to Torino, I visited one month ago, it is the longest suspension bridge built of steel ropes.
Long, 408 meters + 70 others, deserving the record for longest Tibetan Bridge World.
The path is then formed from this walkway, first with the aid of a secondary bridge (70 m.) Crosses the Gorgias in a direction perpendicular to its course, follows a short stretch of always strictly suspended connection, to engage on the main deck , that from this point onwards in the longitudinal direction follows the course of the gorge of San Gervasio to an average height of 25 meters from the ground, where it flows under the stream collected in the throat Piccola Dora. At the end of the main deck a comfortable tourist trail shows up, but that's not all, as the most interesting part is the final one, where it goes back at first an old staircase of military origins, and then slip inside a bunker in partly exploded, cross it to see the light on the comfortable lawn adjacent to the normal output path. At this point, in which one might consider it more than satisfied, the fun continues with another suspension bridge of the length of 90 meters, but this time to place as many 90 meters from the ground.

From a technical point of view, the work is sublime, a very complex implementation in a particularly harsh environment.
The longest suspension bridge in the world, was deservedly named Sergio Bompard, Mountain Guide Bardonecchia, sadly passed away in early 2006 following a serious illness, both for his great qualities of mountain men, who for the massive active collaboration in project execution; his memory is well printed in the memory of all those who have worked in the shipyards.
The structure was commissioned and financed within an Interreg project, the municipalities of Cesana and Claviere, with the participation of the European Union.
The whole area is becoming a kind of "climbing park", where in addition to the path of the suspension bridge, the mini via ferrata, the high bridge, a small bridge in the very near future you will be able to benefit from other activities ..
I recommend everyone a nice trip around here ...
